Fresh milk is a luxury.
Today’s weather was high of 57 and low of 25. For perspective, it was cold enough that throughout the new years trip we left a half-gallon of milk outside or on the dash. Something about having whole milk near me makes me feel safe as if all is fine in the world.
While heading to our campsite we stopped at a few springs. In all our spring adventures we’ve never seen such a sheer cliff alongside a spring. It might have been 18ft tall from the water. In my adrenalized state, I set off to traverse the rock and find the hardest route to climb.
The illusive Florida rock
Since rubberducky fetish - jeep cave I was fairly certain that much of the rock would crumble under my immense grip strength. To my surprise and blow to my ego, it held up fine.
The boardwalk that led to the spring wrapped around this short limestone feature. As I traversed it slowly, I looked down to see where my feet would go next and saw the reflection in the water. In this, I paused.
There is only one moment that arrives without memory.
Only once does the world meet you unburdened by what you have been.
